What an evening! Sherry Hu, East Bay Bureau Chief of KPIX Channel 5 News, was the Master of Ceremony at the Celebration and Dedication of the Rotunda Building, held on September 7th. This benefit for OHA, had almost 400 people in attendance, and photographs of the event appeared on the front pages of the Oakland Tribune and Montclarion newspapers.

Who spoke? Mayor Jerry Brown, Former Mayor Elihu Harris, Congresswoman Barbara Lee, President of the City Council, Ignacio de la Fuentes, Vice Mayor Jane Brunner, Councilmember Dick Spees, Councilmember  Henry Chang, Councilmember Moses L. Mayne, Jr., Councilmember Danny Wan, and Architectural Historian Don Choi.

Who received the awards? Len Epstein, Mark Moss, and Phil Tagami for the Rotunda Partners, Alan Dreyfuss A.I.A., Consulting Historic Architect, Architectural Dimensions, KPa Consulting Engineers, Pankow Special Projects, L.P., all received and accepted Preservation Awards from OHA for Historic Preservation.
