The Oakland Heritage Alliance is now accepting nominations for
the 2008 Partners in Preservation Awards. The awards honor Oakland citizens,
organizations, projects, and programs whose work and efforts demonstrate a
commitment to excellence in historic preservation.
Begun fifteen years ago, Partners in Preservation acknowledges the outstanding
efforts of residents, property owners, architects, developers and organizations
to protect and preserve Oakland’s cultural and architectural heritage.
Individuals who have been involved in an outstanding preservation project
completed within the geographical boundaries of Oakland in the past five years,
or those who know of a corporation, nonprofit organization, public agency, or
individual who has helped preserve national heritage are encouraged to submit a
nomination.
The annual awards recognize success in preserving, rehabilitating, restoring or
interpreting Oakland’s architectural and cultural heritage. To download the
nomination form, please visit www.oaklandheritage.org. All nominations must be
