The Oakland Antioch Railway was formed in 1909 and renamed the Oakland Antioch & Eastern Railway in 1911. Electric service was completed between Oakland and Sacramento in 1913. Interurban service was discontinued in 1941 and replaced by Greyhound Bus.  This postcard shows the electric train crossing Lake Temescal circa 1913.
